This fat-free, tropical sauce is extremely versatile and delicious atop a succulent ham on your holiday table or simply spooned over grilled chicken breasts for a healthy weeknight meal. Plus, one serving (approximately 1/2 cup) is an excellent source of vitamin C and good source of vitamin A.
Ingredients
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple slices in juice
1 (5 ounce) bag Sunsweet Philippine Grown Mangoes, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup mango nectar
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon allspice
Instructions
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Drain pineapple juice into a small saucepan. Dice pineapple and add to saucepan with remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Serve warm with ham, roasted pork, poultry or seafood.
